Crockpot Food Prep & Shopping Lists

Hey everyone! Due to the interest regarding our Crockpot Prep that we did today (see the photo I posted earlier) I decided to type up the shopping list we used (with the prices we paid at Walmart) and post links to the recipes that I used from Pinterest. The only thing we didn't buy at Walmart was the bell peppers because they were cheaper at Costco. We bought store brand where we could to save money too - so if you buy name brands, they might be more expensive

We basically decided that we are both too busy to cook healthy meals every day and we are really tired of eating out - so thus the reason why we're prepping all the crockpot meals. There's only 2 of us, so we figure we can make 2-3 "bags" a week and easily have enough leftovers to get us through the rest of the week

The shopping list - we multiplied all of the ingredients for the below recipes by 4 (for 4 weeks of the month). So this will give you a total of 16 meals that have 4-6 servings per meal.

4 packages of chicken breasts ($8-$10 each)
12 Bell Peppers - various colors (these we bought in a 6-pack at Costco for $13)
4 Cans Pineapple Chunks - 15oz can ($0.98 each)
1 bottle Soy Sauce ($2.16)
1 jar Orange Marmalade ($2.12)
1 5-pound bag of white long-grain rice ($2.50)
3 pounds of ground turkey ($8.88)
4 cans diced tomatoes - 28oz can ($1.24 each)
4 cans tomato paste - 12oz can ($0.92 each)
4 containers low-sodium chicken broth - 32oz box ($1.86 each)
1 "bear" of honey ($3.47)
1 small package shredded cheddar cheese ($2.48)
12 pounds pork roast (we bought two of the "picnic shoulder roast" that was 9 pounds for $16-ish and freezed the extra for next month)
1 bag brown sugar ($1.48)
1 bottle Rice Vinegar ($1.24)
1 bottle Sesame Oil ($3.48)
4 Jalapenos ($0.20)
1 package of corn tortillas - 50 count ($1.68)
1 medium sized ginger root ($1.59)
8 Limes ($1.14)
2 bushels of cilantro ($0.96) - 138.38
2 bags frozen corn - 32oz bag ($1.98 each)
4 cans black beans - normal can size, not the big one ($0.68 each)
1 jar of minced garlic - the big one ($4.98)
1 box Hefty Gallon Freezer Bags - 25 count ($2.98)
Grand total: $152.02 (before taxes of course)

We also needed to stock up on our spices, so we bought paprika ($0.88), black pepper ($4.98) but we had the others on hand (like the oregano)

So in total - we spent about $160 on everything we needed. We bought extra chicken & freezer bags so we have it later in the month in case we need it. Once we got home, we tackled each recipe and made 4 bags of each recipe (links below) and it took us about 2 hours in total to prep everything

So here's what we made:
